Sumana Chatterjee is the Founder and Director of Rebuttal & More, a premier communication school dedicated to developing confident speakers, critical thinkers, and future leaders. She also serves as the Head of WIDPSC UAE, playing a key role in expanding global debating opportunities for students in the region.
A UAE-based communication coach with over 25 years of experience, Sumana has been a pioneering force in debate and public speaking. She was the first to bring prestigious international platforms such as the World Individual Debating and Public Speaking Championship (WIDPSC), the World Schools Debating Academy (WSDA), and the International Philosophy Olympiad (IPO) to the UAE, creating pathways for students across the country to compete on the global stage.
Having trained students from more than 40 countries, her mentorship has helped young communicators excel at WIDPSC, WSDC, WSDA, WSC, Model United Nations, and numerous national and international championships, while also achieving distinction in Trinity Communication examinations and TEDx platforms.
Over the years, many of her students have progressed to leading universities around the world — including Harvard, Stanford, Oxford, Cambridge, King’s College London, Imperial College London, the National University of Singapore, the California Institute of Technology, and UCL. Others have gone on to pursue entrepreneurial ventures and leadership roles across global academic, diplomatic, and professional spaces.
Through Rebuttal & More, Sumana continues her mission of empowering young minds to think critically, speak with confidence, and lead conversations that matter on the world stage.
